Speed calculator
Choose the type of road, the limit and the measured speed. The app deducts the measuring tolerance where one is documented and shows the usual amount next to the range set by law.
Traffic fines · Austria · Norway · Sweden · Denmark
Statutory ranges, usual amounts, deadlines and consequences of traffic fines – with the legal basis and the date of the data.
For iPhone · iOS 17 or later
A notice names an amount. FineCalc shows what is behind it, what is usual, and what you have to do by when.
Choose the type of road, the limit and the measured speed. The app deducts the measuring tolerance where one is documented and shows the usual amount next to the range set by law.
Alcohol, phone at the wheel, red lights, distance, parking and more – searchable by offence or by section of law.
Enter the day the notice arrived. The app works out the last day to pay or to object, following each country's rules on weekends and public holidays.
Save a notice and the app reminds you before the deadline runs out. Everything stays on your iPhone.
Each figure comes with its section of law and a link to the official text – and says whether it is a fixed rate, an authority's tariff or a guide value.
Licence withdrawal, endorsements, driving bans: the app warns you when the fine is not the end of it.
When a law changes, the new amounts reach the app on their own – no app update needed. Changes that are already enacted are shown ahead of time.
Country and language are independent: Austrian rules in Polish, Norwegian rules in Chinese. Legal terms also stay in the original, so you can compare them with the letter.
No two countries work out fines the same way. FineCalc follows each country's own logic.
No uniform national catalogue: the law sets a range and each authority fixes its own amounts. FineCalc shows both, for each of the nine federal states.
Fixed nationwide rates that do not depend on income. For offences above the table, the app shows guide values.
Fixed amounts set for the whole country by the Prosecutor-General. The fine is capped – the real risk is the licence.
The fine depends on the percentage by which the limit was exceeded, with a separate scale for motorways.
Amounts, deadlines and consequences live in rule packs that are separate from the app. That is how a change in the law reaches you within days, not with the next release.
Every source a rule pack cites – statutes, regulations, the authorities' tariffs – is checked regularly for changes.
No amount is ever changed automatically. Each change is read, entered and verified before it is published.
The app looks for new rule packs at most once a day and installs them only if every file matches its checksum. Otherwise it keeps the rules it has.
FineCalc works without knowing who you are.
Read the privacy policyNo. FineCalc is for information only and is not legal advice. Only the law and the authority's notice are binding. Usual amounts are not an upper limit.
From statutes, regulations and the tariffs published by the authorities. Every amount names its source and the date it was checked. Where no official tariff is published, the app says so and labels the figure as a guide value or an estimate.
The sources are monitored, and changes are entered by hand after they have been checked. New rules reach the app automatically, without an app update. Each country shows the date on which its data was last checked.
Yes. Every country has a guide for drivers with a foreign number plate or licence, and you can read any country's rules in any of the 13 languages.
No. A complete set of rules ships with the app. A connection is only used to fetch newer rules.
